Master Polaco

José Roberto Rocha is born in Rio de Janeiro, in 1949. In 1956 he was introduced to Mestre Paraná to whom he becomes a disciple and receives the nickname POLACO (Polish). In 1972, after Mestre Paraná’s death, he opened his academy in Ramos and surprised by giving capoeira classes to the hearing impaired. The same year he was asked to assume the Capoeira São Bento Pequeno Group for which he became responsible.
