PhD Antonio Liberac

Antonio Liberac Cardoso Simões Pires. BA in History at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro(UFRJ, 1991),MA and PhD in History at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp, 1995 and 2001).Liberac is currently an associate professor of History at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia(UFRB), in Cachoeira, Bahia, with an emphasis on the History oft he BrazilianRepublic, focusing mainly on the following themes: black culture, popular culture,capoeira, black peasantry and social history. He is a full-time professor of the Professional MA o the History of Africa, the Diaspora and Indigenous Peoples, at the Centrefor Humanities, Arts and Letters at UFRB, and an accredited researcher at CAPES(Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, a foundation within the Ministry of Education in Brazil), with the Project of Archives Internationalization Brazil Mozambique(2016-2019).
